The following is a summary of the meeting held at Duncan & Toplis on April 26th. An unabridged copy of the minutes will be made available upon request to the Chairman.

  1. Apologies from Lisa Whitehead, Emma Clayden, Lesley Pashley.
  2. Treasurer’s Report General Account showing almost £5000 after receipt of £7000 from SKDC for Project Pretty.
  3. Membership We now have 94 members, Approximately 33% Membership renewal fees already paid by Standing order. Membership directory is with printers for printing
  4. Website Paypal integration has been completed by RD Forum under-utilised at present There is potential for members to create a hyperlink to their own sites.
  5. Meetings Successful April meeting held on 20th at Springfield House. Political ‘Question Time’ well run and well compered by Wade. Great PR for GBC May meeting will return to EM centre. Speaker to be confirmed Content of future meetings under discussion.
  6. Project Pretty We now have SKDC agreement as to use of the PP design under licence. Welcome wording to be agreed. 20 more baskets needed in selected areas. Flowers ordered so day for putting up brackets to be agreed soon. ‘Sign’ quotes still awaited.
  7. Project Snowflake CR still to make contact with Pat Swinton.
  8. Chairman’s Dinner – 115 tickets sold so far. Good progress in view of financial climate
  9. Grantham Business awards booked in for last week in November.
  10. Cameron Ford of Reflect Recruitment Group to take Lisa Whitehead’s position on the Executive Committee. Lisa will continue to support the group.
  11. Shop front improvement grant likely to be available from SKDC. Details to be confirmed.
  12. AOB – Recognition that Lesley did a cracking job with our last advert.
  13. SKDC Budget Scrutiny MA, AH, MS, SF to review May 10th at Chattertons.
  14. The committee noted the support and effort provided by Lisa Whitehead over a number of years.
