Exec Minutes - 23 March 2010

The following is a summary of the meeting held at Panini on March 23rd. An unabridged copy of the minutes will be made available upon request to the Chairman.

  1. Apologies from Lisa Whitehead, Bijal Ladva and Matt Swindells.
  2. Treasurer’s Report We still have £2000 in the account after receipt of monies for shop wrap around.
  3. Membership We now have 93 members, although there are still some outstanding payments for membership fees. Something special will be arranged for the occasion of our 100th member. Membership packs will be put together at the next Executive Meeting on April 26th which is to be held at the offices of Duncan and Toplis.
  4. Membership Survey – No Comments so far and RD will send out by email. Upon completion of the survey, we will reassess our need for a Mission Statement’.
  5. Website Viewing statistics are up. They could be even better with a greater number of member articles. RD is researching the possibility of using the website and Paypal to facilitate members paying their subscriptions.
  6. Meetings 30 attendees for March which was seen as a successful meeting with a good format. April meeting to be held on 20th at Springfield House. Representatives of the three main political parties will be invited to attend to take part in a political ‘Question Time’. Format to be Members Spotlight, Question time, Networking.
  7. Project Pretty Negotiations are nearing completion for SKDC to use the PP design under licence. LP will attend to the location of signs. We now have the money to pay for this year’s flower baskets- £56 each p.a. for watering and £35 cost per basket. 75 baskets are to be ordered.
  8. Project Snowflake We have taken the decision to lobby LCC and SKDC to keep pavements safe. Pat Swinton will be the first point of contact at SKDC. CR to deal.
  9. Chairman’s Dinner – 60 tickets sold so far, with a great deal more interest shown. We expect 220 on May 15th.
