- Apologies from Lisa Whitehead, Lesley Pashley and Emma Clayden.
- Treasurer’s Report We have £2000 in reserves after payment of £500 for Chairman’s dinner. Renewal subscriptions are due in April.
- Membership We have 89 members with a further 4 visitors interested in joining, so the 100 mark should be achieved very soon. It is important for members to see the potential which membership provides for trading with one another. The idea of a mission statement was discussed and will be included on future agendas.
- Website More members should be aware of the PR/advertising opportunity in publishing articles. These contributions have the knock on effect of keeping the website fresh. Similarly, it would be good to see a larger number of participants accessing the forum.
- Meetings Positive feelings were expressed regarding the lively gathering in February, which attracted a healthy attendance. Numbers were helped through the committees’ telephone reminders. A similar format will be adopted at future meetings – Member’s Spotlight, Presentation and networking where members will be encouraged to keep their ‘elevator pitch’ to 30 seconds. March meeting to be held at Belton Woods and April at Springfield House where Nick Bowls has been invited to attend.
- Project Pretty Negotiations are nearing completion for SKDC to use the PP design under licence.
- Project Snowflake Emma and Stuart will comment next time on the legal implications which are seen as a considerable impediment to the project going ahead.
- Membership Survey will go ahead to ascertain the expectations of the membership. RD will set up the questions on ‘Survey Monkey’.
- Chairman’s Dinner – Invitations for May 15th are being sent out, ticket price £45.
- Westgate Plans – There is a need for further consultation regarding this loss of parking spaces.
