- Welcome & apologies AH welcomed those present to the meeting. Apologies received as above.**
- Previous minutes & matters arising The minutes of meeting 20th April 2010 were approved.
- Treasurer’s report – Good month with £3.5K in Subs • £9K in bank plus SKDC contribution • Chairman’s dinner – no money spent yet; awaiting invoice from Belton Woods and flowers to be paid. Full recon by next month.**
- Membership secretary’s report • MJA to report outstanding invoices for next time • MJA confirmed that they will cover Rachel’s departure but may take a little while to train successor • Stoke Rochford Hall would like to join soon.
- Project Pretty update • Extra brackets to go up on Sunday June 6th • There should be 75 baskets this year (subsequently reduced to 70)to go up June 8th. • Quotes still awaited for Welcome Road signs
- Project Snowflake • CR has made contact with Pat Swinton who is researching the arrangement with LCC. CR to follow up. • CR to contact Simon Caunt re spreaders and there possible sale.
- Debrief of May open meeting. • Good turnout in view of lovely weather; several new faces • Introductions didn’t quite work so we will revert to personal elevator pitch followed by free networking. • Good presentations from CDH Safety and Chattertons • Successful first Chairman’s dinner; need to generate greater interest from partner organisations (eg. SKDC, Police, Roads) partly by sending them a report on the evening, requesting feedback on their absence.
- Venue and spotlight member for future meetings • June meeting to be at EM Centre • Spotlight – Ringrose Law • RD to be asked to present the GBC website • Probable venue for July – Trust Telco
- AOB Rachel Khan We need to show our appreciation – LP to deal
- SKDC Budget Scrutiny This was carried out as discussed last time and a letter sent to SKDC with our comments.
