A coffee and pastry break was taken giving everyone the opportunity to network.

Simon Wright Manager of the Grantham Growth Point Team gave a talk on the Key Projects for the Town Centre and Canal Basin and also major Residential Projects.

David Fotheringham of Duncan and Toplis gave a talk on How to Survive the Economic Slow Down and Securing you business Future. This included tips on:-

  • Cost Control
  • Management
  • Going Forward

Travail are decorating a room in the George Centre and provided in parcel wrapping service to raise money for charity.

Sadly Wade Rowlett announced that due to other commitments he would have to resign his position as joint chair and from the executive committee at the end of this year but that he still looked forward to being a member of the GBC.

John Cussell reminded us that the GBC have booked 2 lanes for the Grantham Swimathon, in February and all volunteer swimmers would be welcome.

This is was the last formal open meeting of the GBC and everyone is welcome to attend the December meeting which will be the Christmas Social Event which will be a buffet on Tuesday the 9 December in Sakura restaurant in the George Centre, the cost of which is £15 per head.
