4. What does your firm do? Publish a local community magazine, which promotes what’s good about Grantham in an informative and entertaining way.
5. What time does is your alarm clock set for? We don’t set an alarm – we automatically get up at 7am.
6. Describe yourself in 10 words or less? Andrea – Good sense of humour, sociable, caring and kind. Richard – Cheerful, determined, creative, imaginative.
7. What was your first job? A – Land registration. R – Metal type compositer.
8. What drives you to succeed? A – Determination. R – The love of achievement.
9. What is the best decision you’ve ever made? Both. Getting married to each other.
10. What was the first lesson you learned in business? A -Be careful who you trust. R – That a good salesman has two ears and one mouth and should use them in those proportions.
11. Are you easy to work for? Yes – so people say.
12. When did you last lose your temper? A – January 2009 – When someone attempted to rip us off! R – April 9th 1996.
13. What’s your greatest personal indulgence? A- Chocolate. R – Reading.
14. What’s your favourite tipple? A – Wine. R – Vodka Martini, shaken, not stirred – obviously!
15. Where would be your perfect holiday location? A – Ibiza. R – Kennedy Space Centre.
16. What do you admire most about Grantham?_ A – Its schools. R – The fact that it never gives up._
17. What would you like to see happen in Grantham? Both. The building of an east west by-pass and to become a “science” town with Newton as the central theme.
18. What three items/gadgets could you not live without? Both. Car, mobile, laptop.
19. What do you see the biggest challenge for your business in 2010? Both. Helping our customers to survive and thrive during these difficult times.
20. What are you most looking forward to next year? A – Hot summer days. R – The birth of our fourth grandchild.
