40% of people abandon e-commerce website if they take over 3 seconds to load, and even if your website doesn’t directly sell anything, it’s important visitors aren’t made to wait because 39% will do something else (e.g. check their email) and become distracted, and 34% might view some other sites – which may very well be your competitors!
